BEFORE THE HOLIDAY IS OVER

It's the last day off on Songkran Festival, finally. Happy time always goes so fast. Tomorrow I have to go back to work - to fight with some annoying customers. Such is life!

Yesterday I had dinner with my almost warm family at Chokchai Steak House, where we must go together twice a year, at least. Every time I go there the memories when I was young always hit me and I really miss it. I was born in 80s among so many half Thai-American/European people. I prefer it to the present, that everywhere is about Korean stuffs. It's not my era, maybe.

After this holiday, I plan to go shopping. I want many new clothes, sunglasses, shoes, and stuffs for my up coming trips. Oh! I can't wait anymore. Talk about shopping, I just bought many new good books from National Book Fair in the beginning of this month. At the fair, I met many famous writers such as Roundfinger, Boy CityChan, Mr.Suthichai Yoon and his son Prabda, Vichai, and Tukta from Polka Dot. I'm far from bookworm, though.

And now I'm getting into an app called Hipstamatic Disposable Camera. Super fun :D

Happy Songkran Festival

On April 13, it’s Thai New Year’s Day called Songkran in Thai. It’s one of famous festival over the world. Some know it from splashing water festival. And yeah, it’s long holidays for office workers, including me!

This year, I have no mood to go out to splash water to anyone. I prefer being at home. Sit and read and write and relax.

Everyone knows time flies. My first year anniversary working here is coming. I’m not sure how long am I gonna work here, but I think it’s not a bad choice for catching this work last year. Anyway, it’s not the right work for me.

No matter what it is, very happy songkran festival babe :)

Enjoy the day,

HELLO MY SWEET SEPTEMBER

These days, the weather is so bad. It always rains in the evening while I'm ready for coming back home. You know, Bangkok is very close friend with bad traffic, so when it rains, they are closer and closer! One day, I stuck at office till 8 pm. I finish work at 5 pm though. I couldn't go back home because of heavy rainstorm outside. Skytrain stopped working, blackout in town, a lot of water in the street, and YES! traffic was freaking terrible. Then, I'd arrived home, what I saw was what I have never wanted to see. The big jackfruit broke down covering my grandparents shrine. Luckily, the shrine was fine. This is what the jackfruit's left!

Last saturday, it rained heavily again. My house was surrounded by water. It made me think of the old days. Every time it rained, there was a lot of water around my house. My cousins and I liked crossing through mini pontoon from a house to another smaller house where is a kitchen pretty much. I really don't wanna grow old, seriously. I love everything when I was younger.
More joy, less sorrow.

Today the weather gets better (or at least, till right now). It's good thing for my weekend. And hey! say hello to the September officially. I have no reason why I love this month pretty much, just love it! Though it's not the month I love the most, but it's on my top five list. I really love the smell and feeling of September. This month is the end of rainy season and the beginning of cool weather in Thailand. September makes you feel a little bit sweeter, Believe me. And I really do love it that way.

Sweet Sweet, Sweet September!!!!!

FOLLOW THE RAILWAY

Last Saturday I took a trip from Bangkok to Maeklong market, Samutsongkram Province by train with Mr.Little Bear. It's our first time traveling together, but I felt surprisingly comfortable. Not only being the first, but also the shortest railway in Thailand. It starts from Wongwianyai railway station to Mahachai railway station, then you have to across Thajeen river from Mahachai bank to Baan Laem bank to ride another railway to Maeklong railway station. You know what, this railway line is totally free because it's supported by government. No doubt why there are always a lot of people riding it.

Well, when we arrived Maeklong merket, we walked a lot over the town, though it rained lightly. And these were my snapshots from this mini trip. The highlight of this railway is Folding Umbrella Market, one of the unseen Thailand places.

Alright, hope you enjoy.
Here we go!!

FRIENDSHIP

I have known Jihyo about 7 years since we were in high school through some penpal website. I attended to make some Japanese friends because I was crazy about Japanese language and entertainment in that time. I'd like to learn Japanese and talk about what I was addicted with local. The result was not only Japanese friends I've known, but also this pretty little girl from Korea named Jihyo. (she had gone by Yoomin in that time, just changed to be Jihyo for a year, if I remember.)

Though we aren't very in common, but we can talk a lot about big news to little thing about ourselves. When another has problem, another one always cheer up. Well, we both are similar about thinking over, I can say. haha Especially, about our lives, we can talk, talk and talk for a long long while. I never get bored chatting and sharing experiences with her.

Finally, a day we met for real happened. She flied to Thailand for "do-it-herself trip" over Bangkok. Unfortunately, I had no time to take her to roam Bangkok with my style but It's lucky I got day off today to go see her off to Singapore. We spent about 3 hours at the airport. I treated her Thai food at S&P and had some ice-cream at Black Canyon Restaurant.

Oh! it made me think of my nice cousin who loves S&P products and we often spent time together at Black Canyon Restaurant, Wanglang branch. Ah, really really miss her!

Okay, come back to friendship story lol
Since I'd known that she came here by Tiger Airways, so I searched immediately about the price for going to Singapore and found that it's not that expensive for me to fly there as I'm gonna have 3 days off from Friday to Sunday next week. I surely wanna roam Singapore once with her before she goes back to Korea on July 2nd. Hopefully, it isn't gonna have any problem about this short plan. Tonight, I'm gonna start searching places and important details about Singapore for this trip. It must be fun, I believe!

A story between Jihyo and me makes me think that distance may break some relationship, but it never breaks friendship.

Postscript: To Jihyo, I'm not rich. I just wanna be a good host :3

Peaceful,

High School Reunion Trip

Finally, I have time to update this blog! Alright, First, I have to say Happy Chinese New Year to everyone, wishing you have a bright rabbit year and ever after : )

On January 15-16, my high school buddies and I visited Samed Island as our reunion trip. We sometimes hang out together in town. But this is our official reunion trip, though there were only 4 members for this time. Hopefully, 6 of us will have another chance to join trip together soonest!!!

We were out of Bangkok by bus since 6 in the morning. If we driven by ourselves, we would get there not that later than 8.30 am I bet. But because of taking a bus, it took around 3.30 hours to arrive the baan-pae pier. Luckily, we didn't miss the ferry at 9.30 am. We stayed at Vongduern Villa, where I had been here before with Pang 2 years ago. It's changed pretty much. There are new stores while some dogs I met last time were away to another place. Anyway, Lotte is still here.

2 years ago, Pang had talked talked and talked phone with her boyfriend and still this time. Fortunately, May saved my feeling! For me, she made this trip perfect. We took many pictures and every moment we spent together touched my heart.

Some of them, I've known for over 10 years.
Some of them, I've known for almost 10 years.
Anyway, I hope we are going to keep in touch and be friends like this forever and ever. Love you all :3

P.S. Before I got back, I met someone who is continue talking till now. Maybe because we're in common. Very nice to meet you, by the way : )

Before

Someone once said that...

"Before you talk, listen.
Before you react, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you quit, try."

It makes me have a question to myself that before I quit, do I try the best to my ability? Till now, I'm not really sure but only thing I know is I have my way to go. My own unique way, you know.

If I still don't want to change myself to be suitable for this society, I have to find a new one where is suitable for me. People have their limit to change. And all of almost 8 months, I do change to my limit!

Though I have felt so bad to many moments in 2010. But there are many little beautiful things this year. I'll keep them in my mind. And you know, 2010 hasn't been done yet. That means I still have time to increase my little beautiful memories.

I can't wait for 2011, anyway.
